License Agreement (EULA)

This EULA supplements Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

1. License Grant

   StockLane grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on Apple devices you own or control, solely for your personal or internal business, educational, and informational use, subject to these terms and the Apple Media Services Terms.

2. Ownership

   The App is licensed, not sold. StockLane and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in and to the App, including all software, design, text, and trademarks. No rights are granted except as expressly stated here.

3. Restrictions

   You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, or create derivative works of the App except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law. You may not use the App to build a competing product or to violate any third-party data provider's terms.

4. Educational Tool, No Advice & Assumption of Risk

   The App presents a modeled 'demand signal' derived from public data for educational and informational purposes. It does not report actual sales and does not provide financial, investment, procurement, tax, legal, or other professional advice. You use the App at your own risk and are solely responsible for any decisions or outcomes based on it. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release and hold harmless the developer, owners, and affiliates of StockLane from any claims, damages, or losses arising from your use of, or reliance on, the App; the developer is not responsible or liable for your decisions.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

   Optional subscriptions unlock unlimited AI 'ask' attempts. Purchases are processed by Apple and billed to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID settings. Prices are shown in-app before purchase.

6. Third-Party Data & Services

   The App uses third-party data (Open-Meteo, Wikimedia, Statistics Canada, U.S. Census Bureau) and, if you enable it, an AI provider. Those services are governed by their own terms. See 'Data Sources & Method' for citations and licenses. StockLane is not responsible for third-party services.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

   THE APP IS PROVIDED 'AS IS' WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STOCKLANE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8. Limitation of Liability

   TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STOCKLANE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOST PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. AGGREGATE LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF AMOUNTS YOU PAID IN THE PRIOR 12 MONTHS OR CAD $100.

9. Apple as Third-Party Beneficiary

   This license is between you and StockLane, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA and may enforce it against you. Apple is not responsible for the App or any claims relating to it, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Termination

    This license is effective until terminated. It terminates automatically if you breach it. On termination you must stop using and delete the App. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability) survive termination.

11. Governing Law

    This EULA is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. To the extent a consumer's mandatory local-law rights apply, those are unaffected.
